New Delhi: A two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) Workshop for social activists was organized at the Indian Social Institute here in the national capital from 13 to 14 October, 2014 on National Integration, Peace and Justice: Values of Communal Harmony and National Integration in India Today.
The workshop was jointly organized by the Department of Tribal Studies of ISI, Standing Together to Enable Peace and Trust (STEP) and Center for Harmony and Peace. 34 state representatives for Social Integration Peace and Harmony from 12 states (Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Orissa, Rajasthan, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra Mizoram and Karnataka) participated in the workshop.
The resource persons were Prof. Ram Puniyani, Dr. Mohammad Arif, Subhash Gatade, Fr. Stany Tirkey, Fr. Vincent Ekka, Pascal Tirkey and Fr. Ranjit Tigga. As part of the action plan, all participants will write at least one article on any one of the topics discussed in the training and will organize at least one training programme on National Integration, Peace and Justice in their respective states in the next four months.
