Thiruvananthapuram : There are tremendous opportunities for marketing personnel in social sectors such as agriculture, healthcare and rural communication in India, and management graduates need to explore these better, said S. Ramadorai, chairman of the National Skill Development Agency (NSDA).
Ramadorai, who is also the vice-chairman of Tata Consultancy Services, was addressing the students of Asian School of Business (ASB) at the eighth annual convocation here, Saturday.
“India’s development path cannot be a replication of the West but must be a hybrid model that leverages all our strengths, traditional knowledge and build on it by adopting innovative research and technologies, said Ramadorai who heads ASB’s Board of Governors.
Instead of being carried away by the perceived ‘glamour’ of jobs, the graduating students should choose a sector that needs good talent, he said.
