The BJP’s first ever chief minister in Haryana, Manohar Lal and his nine ministers took oath of office Oct 26.

Earlier, Singh had asked all officials to introduce themselves, indicating the duration of their posting in Gurgaon.

Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) chief engineer B.S. Singroha told the minister that he has been posted in Gurgaon for nearly 10 years.

Nearly all other officers, who introduced themselves, too have enjoyed long tenures in Gurgaon.

“Majority of you have been posted here for long…. Many of you might not have worked in the wider public interest. Our government will work with zero tolerance for corruption,” the minister said, adding that next meeting will be held before Nov 10.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shekhar Vidyarthi and Police Commissioner Alok Mittal were also present in the meeting.

Singh, a resident of Gurgaon, has been elected legislator from Badshahpur constituency of Gurgaon district.

Earlier, Singh was minister in 1987 and 1996.
