The meeting urged Government of India and Government of all states to take bold steps to contain communal violence.
The IUML meeting also appealed the Government of India to desist from attempts to meddle with educational system of India as it strongly feels the educational policy of the nation should be on the lines of molding a secular democratic republic upholding the rich traditions of this great country, cherishing the peaceful coexistence of various sects and communities.
