Selected from different colleges on the basis of project proposals, the students would be divided into groups of 12-15 with a mentor or teacher. Each group will have at least one student from the northeast.

“The students will work on projects based on ideas that shall give a deeper understanding of the richness of the region and its contribution in diverse ways towards the well being of the nation,” the statement said.

“Issues related to citizenship, national integration and ideals propounded by eminent leaders including those from the northeast would be addressed,” it added.

The university said the students would also meet representatives of local universities and senior functionaries of the states including governors.
