Aligarh: An eight-member team of doctors from J. N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University has left for Jammu and Kashmir to provide medical aid to people who are affected by the worst flood of the century.
Prof. Tariq Mansoor, Principal and CMS, J. N. Medical College and Hospital said that the team is also carrying medicines to combat outbreak of diseases like Gastroenteritis, Diarrhea, Cholera, viral infections, diabetes, hypertension, trauma cases etc. He said that after receding of flood, there is a threat of outbreak of such disease in the valley.
Prof. Mansoor said that the Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Brig. S. Ahmad Ali and Registrar, Group Captain Shahrukh Shamshad have expressed hope that the initiative will go a long way in alleviating the sufferings of flood victims.
