Cairo : A court in Egypt Monday decided to release 21 members of the banned Muslim Brotherhood (MB) on bail of 1,000 Egyptian pounds (about $140) each, state-run MENA news agency reported.
The defendants were convicted of torching police cars, inciting violence and ransacking state institutions after the dispersal of Nahda and Rabaa sit-in camps by Morsi loyalists.
Since the military-led removal of Morsi in July 2013, a massive security crackdown on Morsi supporters has left more than 1,000 dead while thousands of others were arrested.
