Pakistan begins open court hearings on poll rigging

Islamabad : A three-member judicial commission started its open court proceedings on Thursday to investigate alleged rigging and irregularities of Pakistan’s 2013 general elections.

The commission headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Nasir ul Mulk comprises Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Geo News reported.

Several political parties and individuals have submitted the evidences, record and pleas before the judicial commission.

Over 26 political parties including the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP),Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Awami National Party (ANP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League Quaid-e-Azam (PML Q) and others presented evidence to the commission.
