Islamabad : At least 22 terrorists were killed when military fighter jets bombed their hideouts in North Waziristan Agency of Pakistan, it was reported on Thursday.
According to the Inter Service Public Relations’ (ISPR) Twitter page, the airstrikes, carried out on Wednesday evening, targeted militant hideouts in Datta Khel area of the agency and destroyed their hideouts, including a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
Those killed in the airstrikes also include three suspected suicide bombers, said the army’s mouthpiece ISPR.
The army has intensified its anti-terrorism offensive “Zarb-e-Azb” in the bordering areas of Pakistan after the December 16 Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan attack on an army-run public school in Peshawar, which left over 140 students and staff dead.
