Kolkata : Coming to the aid of the quake-hit people of Nepal, the Rotary International will soon send to the country 1,000 shelter kits which consist of clothing, tarpaulin, mosquito nets, blankets, utensils, and other necessities of a distressed family.
The Rotary International District 3291 along with Rotary India Humanity Foundation and Rotary Club of Calcutta Mahanagar will be sending the kits, each of which cost Rs.5,000 and consists of a trunk with 52 items, according to a media release.
A medical mission is also gearing up to serve the distressed and injured persons in Pokhara area, the epicentre of Saturday’s quake, soon.
