With fuel reserves running low, cars and trucks are lining up at most gas stations here.

It is not clear what will happen when the gas stations finish up the existing stocks.

In the Kathmandu Valley, small grocery shops finally reopened on Tuesday but large businesses remain shut.

Even three days after the devastating earthquake that killed thousands, banks remain closed. While ATMs are functional, they aren’t getting fresh replenishment of cash.

Mobile networks in Kathmandu are now functional but network outage and overloads are common complaints.

Power supply in Kathmandu is limited. Most households and offices rely on generator power.
