Keeping in view devastating earthquake, Jamia extends on-line submission date to May 4

New Delhi: Jamia Millia Islamia has extended the last date for submission of on-line application forms for admissions from May 1, 2015 to May 4, 2015.

“Keeping in view the earthquake that struck the Himalayan nation and parts of India and the scale of devastation, the university administration has decided to extend the last date of submission of application forms to enable students from affected parts of Nepal and India to complete the process of submission. The university had received requests from students from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal for extension of the last date for on-line submission. Many students had flagged technical problems that they confronted while making their applications. A large number of foreign students in Jamia are from Nepal,” a statement of the University said.

Online applications are invited for admissions to various Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Diploma/Certificate programmes offered by Jamia Millia Islamia for the academic session 2015-16. The e-prospectus for admission may be downloaded from the university website http://jmi.ac.in/admission.

It may be recalled that the university administration had already set up an Admission Helpline with a dedicated team to enable students make on-line submissions following announcement of the admission process on April 10, 2015. Even as the press release is being issued over 1 lakh registrations have already been made for various courses.
