Ajmal Foundation gives Rs 1.17 crore in talent search since 2002

Guwahati: The results of the Ajmal National Talent Search Examination (ANTSE), 2015 were announced as scheduled on Saturday in Assam’s Hojai in Nagaon district.

A total of 70,864 students had applied this year out of which 66,983 took the examination that was conducted on April 26, 2015 at 1,088 centres across Assam and other north-eastern states as well as West Bengal.



Khasrul Islam, Manager, Ajmal Foundation, addressing a press meet organised to announce the results of Ajmal national Talent Search Examination (ANTSE) 2015 in Hojai on Saturday.

Khasrul Islam, Manager of the Ajmal Foundation said that the ANTSE is being conducted annually since 2002 among school and college students.

School students from class III up to class X and students of HS and Degree classes including those of medical, engineering and management classes are eligible to sit for this popular examination.

The ANTSE is conducted class wise and the purpose is to encourage the students to understand the lessons and develop analytical abilities while motivating them to master the skills of current day competitive life style.

Islam expressed his appreciation for the good work and sincerity of the coordinators, centre in charges, school principals/headmasters and teachers in extending support in conducting the examination smoothly.

Rashid Ahmed, Chairman of ANTSE, addressing the media persons said, “In this 14th edition of the ANTSE results, 90 students have secured Ranks, 131 Star Marks and 1,112 students have been placed in the Achievers category. In addition to this, Special Consolation Prizes have been awarded to 9,916 candidates with a view to motivating them for greater participation and competitiveness in the coming days.”

The first ten rank holders from class III to Class X will be awarded cash prize of various denominations starting from Rs 1,000 for the 10th rank holder in each class to Rs 5000 for the 1st rank holders. For the HS and Degree classes, only three ranks per class will be awarded. Apart from the 90 rank prizes, this year there are prizes and cash incentives for Stars, Achievers and Promisers categories in each class.

There are consolation prizes as well. Even though a total of Rs 25 lakh was earmarked as prize money, Ajmal Foundation is happy to inform that considering the greater interest of the students, the organisation has enhanced its limits. Therefore, the total cash prize amount has gone up to Rs 26.30 lakh.

The cumulative figure of students who have taken the ANTSE till date is 2, 91,164 of which 72,580 students were awarded total cash prizes amounting to Rs 1.17 crore.
