New Delhi: Voluntary organisation Khudai Khidmatgar organized an Eid Milan programme for women in the capital’s Okhla area to discuss the role of women in protecting the society from the communal poison that is rising in the society.
Khudai Khidmatgar works with the view of promoting new leadership in the society and putting its better effort to estimate some worthy activities for the betterment of the society as whole, one of its recent initiatives to prove the front row of women leadership in the organization as well as in social cause.
The “Mahila Eid Milan” organized in Okhla, was the first of its kind programme.
Anjum Aamir Khan, the women member of the voluntary group took initiative to organise this event. Suchita Kumari from Socialist Party addressed the gathering, expressing the need of women participation in the politics and the process of effective political involvement.
The Special guest for the event Sudha Aiyyar and Daliya Behan presented their thoughts about various social challenges of the women. Khudai Khidmatgar Convenor Faisal Khan during his address, stressed on the need of social participation and gender equality in every aspect of life.
The organisers have resolved to further host interfaith discussions for women in different parts of Delhi to counter communalism in the society.
