Thiruvananthapuram: Nearly two million CPI-M activists will squat on roads across Kerala on Tuesday to protest price rise and the anti-people policies of both the state and central governments.
“The hour long protest will begin at 4 p.m. when our party workers and supporters will line up on one side of the road starting from the official residence of the Kerala governor in Thiruvananthapuram and will then go towards Manjesweram, bordering Karnataka,” CPI-M legislator Raju Abraham told IANS.
“Joining the protest would be our party general secretary Sitaram Yechury and all top leaders,” added Abraham.
The CPI-M is planning to reinvigorate its cadre as civic elections are to be held in October and assembly polls in April next year.
