All safe under Modi’s rule: Heptullah

New Delhi: People of all faiths are totally safe under the Narendra Modi administration, Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptullah said on Thursday.

“Everybody is safe, physically and otherwise,” she said while interacting with reporters after launching Online Application Management System (OAMS) for women belonging to minority communities.

The ministry’s scheme ‘Nai Roshni’, which aims to empower and instill confidence among women from minorities by providing knowledge, tools and techniques for interacting with government systems at all levels, will now an online system for application and other purposes.

“The OAMS would ensure quick services to the users,” the minister said.

Heptullah said this initiative of her ministry would also help Modi’s ‘Digital India’ programme.

“We are training girls and young women, so that they can be own their on,” she said, adding that the ministry’s training was area specific and would be provided all across the nation.

“The ministry will soon take its programmes to northeastern region. The young women will be trained according to the needs of the region,” she said.

Commenting on Modi’s recent visit to the UAE, the minister said it was good for both the countries as the visit has brought them closer.
