New Delhi : Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Tuesday said the National Herald case was a matter of serious corruption and the government had nothing to do with the matter.
He said the Congress should fight the case in court and not stall parliamentary proceedings.
“It’ a matter of serious corruption as funds collected for political purposes are being used for commercial activity,” Jaitley told reporters outside parliament house.
“The government is nowhere… also, how does parliament feature in this? A private complaint has been filed and the government doesn’t come into the picture,” Jaitley said.
“They (Congress) have to face and answer in court and not stall parliamentary proceedings,” the minister said
