New Delhi : Bharatiya Mahila Bank is committed on economic empowerment of women, particularly those from the rural areas, its executive director S. M. Swathi said here on Thursday.
She said the focus of Bhartiya Mahila Bank is in empowering women, whether she is from the agriculture field, a hawker on the road, a professional running an office or a business woman or an executive managing the corporates.
The bank focuses on special products to encourage women entrepreneurs to enable women to contribute for the economic growth of the country.
She added that the bank also offers SME Easy Loan for the small and medium enterprises and also offers micro credits, loans to Self Help Groups and Joint Liability Groups.
It also extends credit facilities for the purchase of cows, construction of toilets, buying of solar lanterns and purchase of e-Rickshaws.
The bank has recently entered into agreement with LIC and Bajaj Allianz for providing life insurance to customers.
