Aurangabad (Maharashtra): Millat Bachao Tahreek, a little known minority Non-Governmental Organization has registered an FIR here in the city Police station against three reporters of Sudarshan TV News Channel allegedly for posting provocative comments on Facebook page associated with the channel.
The FIR is registered against Kuldeep Sharma (Kanpur, UP), Ashish Singhadia (Gujarat) and Naveen Sindhu (Gurgaon, Haryana) under section 66 IT Act and 153 A of IPC.
The complainant of FIR Isa Yaseen, President of Millat Bachao Tahreek, alleged that posting on the Facebook page was meant to promote hatred or ill-will between two religious communities by attacking All Indian Majlees-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).
The outspoken news channel claims it to be ‘World’s first socio –patriotic channel’ and is very critical against the AIMIM leaders and often runs programs criticizing openly Owaisi brothers and their political ventures.
In October 2014 the residence of MIM leader and MP, Mr Asadudin Owaisi in Delhi was attacked by alleged Hindu Sena Activists on the instigation of Sudarshan News Channel. The United Muslims Front had taken a serious note of the attack and the provocation by Sudarshan News Channel that lead to the attack.
It had filed a petition against Sudarshan News with authorities for intentionally, deliberately, and with mala fide intentions provocating viewers of the channel with an intention to cause riots and for promoting enmity between citizens of India on the ground of religion and for appealing to cause disharmony and to cause feeling of enmity and hatred among the citizens of India.
The said petition was sent to President of India, Prime Minister of India, Home Minister, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Lt. Governor and the Press Council of India.
