New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address four rallies in the national capital between Jan 31 and Feb 4 – ahead of the Feb 7 assembly election, Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said Tuesday.
The first rally will take place Jan 31 at the CBD Ground in east Delhi’s Shahdara area, while the second will be held Feb 1 in Dwarka.
The last two rallies are scheduled to take place Feb 3 at Rohini’s Japanese Park and and Feb 4 in Ambedkar Nagar’s Virat Cinema ground.
The prime minister’s Feb 4 rally will target residents of unauthorised colonies in and around Ambedkar Nagar and neighbouring Deoli and Sangam Vihar areas, Bharatiya Janata Party leaders said.
Modi had addressed the residents of Ambedkar Nagar ahead of the 2013 elections as well, but the BJP candidate from the constituency, Khushi Ram Chunar, was defeated by Aam Aadmi Party’s Ashok Kumar Chouhan.
However, this time, Chouhan is the BJP candidate from the locality after switching loyalties in December last year.
Modi had addressed a rally at the Ramlila Maidan earlier this month.
