Hyderabad : Any investor coming to Telangana will get permission to start the industry within 15 days and if the government fails to meet this deadline, the permission will be deemed granted, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced Thursday.
He said that the new industrial policy, giving right to permission to investors and industrialists, will be launched shortly.
Terming it as the world’s best industrial policy, the chief minister said it would revolutionize industrial system in the country.
He said a legislation, giving right of permission to investors, was passed recently in the state legislature but could not come into effect due to delay in allotment of officers to the newly-created state.
Stating that this would be almost like self-certification system, Rao said it would make business hassle-free with zero tolerance to corruption.
“You need not go around the offices and roam around individuals,” he told the industrialists.
KCR, as the chief minister is popularly known, was speaking after laying foundation stone for human insulin manufacturing facility at Muddireddipalli in Ranga Reddy district, near here.
Shantha Biotechnics Limited, a part of Sanofi, a French multinational pharmaceutical firm, is setting up the facility with an investment of Rs.460 crore.
“We will call in bunches of 10 or 12. You will be received by protocol officer at the airport and will be brought straight to my office. We will have a short discussion for five to 10 minutes. This is only to know genuinity of investors. You can then go back to your work,” he said.
The chief minister said 11th or 12th day the investors were bound to receive a call from the government, inviting them to come to Hyderabad.
He promised that he would personally hand over a packet, containing all clearances, permissions and approvals to set up the industry.
