New Delhi: A message that is being circulated by WhatsApp telling Muslims that this Friday there will be a loud sound accompanied by death and destruction has been termed hoax by experts.
The hadith that was quoted by an unidentified voice message shared by WhatsApp has been identified as fabricated or weak by scholars.
A Jeddah-based scholar Mohammad Aqib in another WhatsApp audio messaged said that prominent Islamic scholars have that both Albani and Bin Baz have termed this particular hadith as fabricated. He said this hadith even at its face value makes no sense which says that the death and destruction bearing loud sound will spare people who will remain indoors, as claimed by the first audio.
WhatApp is a popular instant-messaging app and used frequently to share photos, audios, and videos.
