New Delhi: The autopsy of the body of Arun Sharma, the dean of a Madhya Pradesh medical college who was found dead in a hotel room here, would be carried out at the Safdarjung Hospital, officials said on Monday.
“The doctor’s body is being brought to the hospital (Safdarjung) for post-mortem examination and a team from the forensic department has been constituted to perform it,” Kamaljeet Singh, public relations officer of the Safdarjung Hospital, told IANS.
Sharma was connected with the investigation into the Madhya Pradesh Vyavsayik Pareeksha Mandal (Vyapam) scam. He was found dead in a hotel near the Indira Gandhi International Airport in the national capital.
He was on his way to Tripura as a member of an inspection team of the Medical Council of India.
Sharma, 64, was assisting the Special Task Force (SIT) probing the recruitment scam by providing documents on fake medical entrance examinees in the state-run college, police said.
