New Delhi: Prominent Islamic scholar of India, Prof. Akhtarul Wasey has categorically denied any association with the Yoga book that was published by RSS-affiliated Muslim Rashtriya Manch.
The book “Yoga aur Islam” was recently released by Minister Sripad Naik ahead of the International Yoga Day on June 21st.

In a statement sent to TwoCircles.net Prof. Wasey said, “One thing must remain clear that there is no question of me “cosying up to RSS”. Throughout my life I have never betrayed my country or my community. I am a firm believer in Secular, Democratic values, composite culture and religious pluralism. I can assure one thing to my “well-wishers” that I am not going to be a sellable commodity. “

Prof. Akhtarul Wasey said that for one month he has been traveling in Canada and the USA. “I have not authorised any one either in written or verbally to use my name for such a publication.
