Jakarta: A strong and shallow undersea quake jolted Sulawesi Island in the central part of Indonesia on Monday morning, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said here.
So far, there is no report of damage or casualty, an official of the agency said.
The quake struck at 6.17 a.m. on Monday with epicenter at 58 km northeast of Central Sulawesi province and with the depth at 10 km under sea bed, Xinhua reported.
The quake was felt at 3 Modified Mercally Intensity (MMI) in Luwuk, capital of Bangai district in the province.
