Aligarh: A group of students of the Aligarh Muslim University, led by Sir Syed Minority Foundation of India, staged a protest on Sunday against communal statements made by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy.
SSMFI has also written memorandum to the Prime Minister urging him to pay attention to the “communal statement” of Subramanian Swamy, where he said that mosques can be demolished as it is a “mere building.”
The memorandum which is copied to the Ministry of Minority Affairs also condemns the statement of Swamy, adding that it has been made to stroke communal frenzy and urged the Minority Affairs Ministry to take actions under him and file a case.
