Application begins for free coaching for IAS aspirants at Hajj House in Mumbai

Mumbai: Application process has begun from May 1 for the free coaching at the Hajj House in Mumbai for civil service aspirants among the minority communities. The last date of application is May 25, 2015.

The Hajj Committee of India (HCI) took the initiative of training Muslim Graduates for Civil Services examinations and in August 2009 started a Coaching & Guidance Cell (C&GC) at the Hajj House in Mumbai. The full-fledged coaching began from January 2010.

The Coaching & Guidance, including lectures from professional faculty, library facilities, study material, Computer/ internet facilities, hostel etc. are free. However, a nominal amount is charged for food in the Haj House, depending upon the rate finalized with the caterer (Currently the amount is Rs 4300/- per student per month).

A maximum of 50 candidates are selected through a written and oral test to whom coaching and guidance is provided both for the preliminary and Main examinations.

Important Dates:

Last date of application: May 25, 2015

Issuance of Admit Cards: May 25, June 7, 2015

Written Tests: June 7, 2015 across 6 centres, i.e. Mumbai, Delhi, Patna, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Srinagar.

Personality test & oral interview: August 1-2 at Mumbai Headquarter of HCI

Commencement of 7th batch: September 1, 2015.
