Jaipur : Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and union minister Kalraj Mishra on Saturday launched the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana at a state function here on Saturday.
“These social security schemes would encourage self-esteem of the poor and the common man,” Raje said in her address.
The event was a part of the nationwide launch of these three social security schemes.
Raje said her government was working with the vision of a healthy, educated, happy, prosperous and developed state, which would be sensitive towards women.
Praising the schemes, she said they would prove to be a milestone in empowering the people.
Such financial inclusion schemes were required to include the poor in the mainstream of economy, she said.
Kalraj Mishra, the union minister for micro, small and medium scale industries, said it was a historical day and shows the central government’s “dedication towards the poor”.
He said the country would not progress until its 125 crore people were self-reliant.
