During the emotional speech, which lasted upto ten minutes, Maudani said that he was the victim of the political conspiracy.

“My only wish is that after my death my body should be buried at Anwarssery. I am the victim of the political conspiracy. Several Muslims are destined to remain baffling in various jails in the name of terrorism. There, they undergo both mental and physical torturing,” Maudani claimed.

The mosque was packed to full as his followers and relatives came to participate in the Juma prayers with him.

The court allowed Maudani, an accused in the 2008 Bangalore blast case, to move out of Bengaluru after it was informed that the trial in the case has now been shifted to National Investigation Agency (NIA) court which alone has jurisdiction to try some of the scheduled offences.

Maudani was arrested on August 17, 2010, in connection with the conspiracy for the Bangalore bomb blast.

He was granted bail on July 11, 2014, which was extended by two weeks August 11, 2014 and the same was extended by four months on November 14 last year, as the court had given Karnataka four months time to conclude the trial.

While granting bail to Maudani on July 11 last year, the apex court had asked him not to leave the city and to furnish the details of his stay during the bail.
