WB HS exams 2015: 3 Muslim students among top 10

This year Muslim student’ pass percentage increased to 78.04%

Kolkata: Three Muslim students are among the ten toppers in the West Bengal Higher Secondary Examination 2015. The result of the WBCHSE was declared on May 29, 2015. Sk Monirul Mondal came second; Aminul Ahsan is fourth while Mahir Akhtar stood ninth in the whole state.

President of WBCHSE Mahua Das said in a press conference that, pass percentage of this year is 82.38. Of total 7, 76,049 students who appeared 6, 17,977 students have succeeded. Muslim students’ percentage has increased this year to 78.04% from previous year’s 69.87%.

The average pass percentage of Muslim girls is 52.30% while for Muslim boys it was only 47.70%.

This year 9307 students appeared with Urdu as their first language of whom 7794 students or 83.75% have passed.

The percentages of Schedule Cast and Schedule Tribe students have also increased this year from 68.87% to 77.29%.

This year 35 students have made to the list of top 10, of whom 19 students are from Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission School alone.

The topper this year is Bilwashib Basu Mallick who secured 496 marks out of total 500. Second Sk Monirul Mondal has got 491 while fourth ranked fourth Aminul Ahsan got 487 and Ninth Mahir Akhtar got 482.

Young Achievers:

Sk Monirul Mandal (Rank-2) comes from a middle class family and lived in village Jamdara under the Dhainiakhali police station of district Hooghly. His father Irfan Mondal is quack by profession. He is currently admitted in the hospital for some medical treatment. Monirul wants to become a doctor. His mother Manowara Begum, who is a graduate herself, thanked Almighty Allah for her son’s success and informed that in Madhyamik (secondary examinations) her son had come 12th in the whole state.

Monirul was a student of Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission. Earlier he studied at Al Ameen Mission but due to poor financial condition he returned to his village and studied at Jamdara Sreebharati Bidyapith in his locality till class X. After coming 12th in Madhyamik 2013 examination from this school, he took admission at the Ramkrishna Mission for HS.

Fourth ranker Aminul Ahsan lives in the village Sahrail of South Dinajpur district. His father Taimur Rahman is an Assistant Head teacher of Dalimgaon High School. A student of Bangshihari High School, Aminul had ranked 6th in Madhyamik Examination in 2013. His happy mother Akhtar Banu wants her son to become a doctor so that he can treat the poor and needy patients in their locality.

Mahir Akhtar (Rank-9) is a resident of Baruipur in South 24 Parganas. Mahir was also a student of Ramkrishna Mission Narendrapur. He had come 12th in 2013 Madhyamik examination jointly with Aminul. He appreciated the serene environment of communal harmony at the Ramkrishna Mission.

This year Muslim Organisation led Education Institutions too showed good results in Higher Secondary Examination. According to Secretary of Al Ameen Mission of Howrah, Nurul Islam 199 poor meritorious students who appeared for the HS did very well this year, with Syed Ramizul Kabir of this Mission getting 475 and ranking 16th.

Among the girl students of the Mission Safina Khatun is a topper with 467 marks. Safina comes from a very poor family. Her father Sadik Mondal is from Maheshtala area of South 24 Parganas. Sadik works as a tailor in his locality.

Another student, Muhammad Boni who secured 467 marks and Muhammad Hasanuzamman who got 466 marks are both sons of farmers.

Another student Razia Sultana from Malda, whose father Muhammad Mustafa is a labourer in a Bidi factory, has secured 457marks.

In all, 1359 students from the 28 branches of the Al Ameen Mission had appeared for this year’s HS, all of whom have passed their examinations. 80 of them have got more than 90 percent marks.

Al Madina Welfare Society run Mamoon National School of Memari of Burdwan also had good showing this year. Secretary of Mamoon National School Kazi Md Yasin informed that 51 students had appeared from their school and all of them have got more than 75% marks. Sk Ismail (463), Sk Arif (457), Moin Khan (453) are the three toppers of the school.

Students of Maulana Azad Academy of Bagnan, Howrah are Asik Billa (452) and Miadad Khan (451).
Society of Islamic Education run Sishu Bikash Acdemy of Chakberia-Mokrampur of South 24 Parganas also had good result this year. Tanushre Naskar (454), Imran Ali Molla (428), Farhana Khatun (421), Amina Khatun (412), Miraj Mondal (404), Nurujjaman (399) are some of the toppers of the school.

Imdadul Haque’s Guidance Foundation conducted Guidance Academy also had good performances this year. Imam Malik (445), Rizu Hossain (442), Tainunnesa (427) topped here.
