Anupam Kher’s march should have been to Dadri: Khurshid

New Delhi : Former external affairs minister Salman Khurshid on Saturday attacked the ‘March for India’ led by veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher, saying “…they should have marched to Dadri instead of the Rashtrapati Bhavan”.

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher on Saturday led a march from India Gate to Rashtrapati Bhavan contending that the “award-wapsi” campaign was aimed at defaming the country.

“Who will judge whether there is intolerance or not? Even the President cannot judge that. Those who want to return their awards thinking there is intolerance, it should be respected. If a few others say there is no intolerance, even that should be respected,” said Khurshid.

“But if they are saying there is no intolerance, why are they approaching the President? They should go and tell this to the family of the man beaten to death in Dadri, where intolerance was at its peak,” the Congress leader added.

“If tolerance is leading to lynching of people, I hate to think what intolerance would be,” Khurshid said.
