Lucknow : The one-day meeting of the BJP’s Uttar Pradesh executive ended here on Friday, with party leaders asking workers to ensure that it wins the 2017 assembly elections.
National vice president Om Mathur told said the BJP’s coming to power in the state was a certainty.
“All I can say is that we need to work hard. And if we follow what Prime Minister Narendra Modi asks us to, our return to power in UP is sure,” he said.
Union minister Kalraj Mishra said the party leaders and workers in the state should tell the people about the major steps the central government has taken for their welfare.
The meeting passed resolutions against the state government on what it said was poor law and order, farmer problems, corruption, unemployment and lack of safety for women in Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh BJP president Laxmikant Bajpayi said the central government would give Rs.80 lakh for the development of every village.
