Summit for women entrepreneurship held in New Delhi

New Delhi: Women’s Manifesto, a Delhi based NGO organized Women’s Summit here under the sponsorship of Human Welfare Foundation at The Scholar School, Jamia Nagar.

The event was organized on Sunday with the theme of “women entrepreneurship” which was attended by around 300 women from different states.

Women’s Manifesto felicitated seven ‘Women Achievers of the Year 2015’ in the fields of academics, sports and co- curricular activities at the University, State and National level.

While addressing the gathering Fraheen Malick, member of Delhi Commission for Women said, “Delhi Commission for Women plays a major role for the betterment of the existing condition of women. But the women have to utilize the services availed like 181 helpline.”

Hakim Ummul Fazal, former director of CCURM who was the guest of honour in the program emphasized the need for implementation of the research based health system in the community level.

The program followed by the demonstration of self defense training of Crime Against Women Cell of Delhi Police and first aid training of Dr. Hamna from AIIMS.

Different stalls of handicrafts, paper craft, painting, food corner and mehendi art were put up in the event giving importance to the theme of the summit. Free career guidance, counseling, free medical check-up, free legal aid and self defence training proved attraction of the program.
