Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing 15 days celebrations “Yad Karo Kurbani -(Freedom Fortnight)” in connection with the 70th Independence Day.
The celebrations will start on August 12 and will continue until August 23. The activity will be organized in accordance with the directions received from University Grants Commission (UGC) with an aim to create awareness among the students about the sacrifices rendered during Freedom Struggle.
According to Dr. Mohammed Fariyad, Coordinator, NSS, Competition of painting greeting cards for Army Jawans at border will be conducted on August 12. “Freedom Run” from University Health Centre to Main Gate will be organized on August 15, 8.00 a.m. Slogan Writing competition in Urdu, English and Hindi languages will be held on August 17, whereas essay writing competition on August 18.
Patriotic songs competitions will be held on August 19. The lecture by eminent personalities will be organized on August 22 and there will be a mass recitation of National Anthem by students on August 23. These competitions will be organized in various auditoriums of the University.
