Foundation stone laid for third boys’ hostel in JIT, Barabanki

Barabanki (Uttar Pradesh): Manzoor Ghori, Chairman of Jahangirabad Educational Trust and Executive Director of Indian Muslim Relief and Charities (IMRC) on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for construction of new boys hostel in Jahangirabad Institute of Technology (JIT), Barabanki, Lucknow.

This is the third boys’ hostel to be constructed in the campus.

The foundation stone was laid in the presence of Shaheen Ghori, Laurel Benhamida besides six US doctors- Dr. M A Gafoor, Dr. M Y Ahmed, Dr. Moustafa Elkheir, Dr. John Rosenberg , Dr. M K Ahmed, Dr. Sabiha Gafoor – and two JET trustees – Syed Anisuddin and Shafi Mohammad.

Jahangirabad Institute of Technology (JIT) is under the umbrella of Jahangirabad Educational Trust Group of Institutions (JETGI) which is promoted by number of professionally successful Indians who are settled abroad and have come together to promote higher education with leadership skills to give back to the community through IMRC.

The educational institution is imparting courses in engineering, management and media at affordable fees. It has a tie up with the Hyderabad based Sahayta Trust that further helps needy students in payment of fees on merit cum need basis.

As it is a Minority institution, minimum 50% of seats are reserved for Muslim community but there are good number of non-Muslim students as well who are studying at the institution and the scholarship facilities are also available for them.

In addition to this, the institute also helps students belonging to socially weaker sections in availing scholarships that are available under different government schemes for Minorities and other SC/ST candidates.
