The executive council of Aaghaz Foundation, an organisation that has been working towards reducing drop-out rate among Muslims, today announced an annual scholarship of Rs 50,000 in the memory of deceased Hyderabad student Rohith Vemula.
The scholarship will be given to an underprivileged SC/ ST/minority student exclusively towards hostel/boarding fees.
Aaghaz Foundation spokesman Mohammad Idrees said candidates who want to avail of the Rohit Vemula Memorial scholarship may write to [email protected] with their name, address, photograph, a scanned copy of last academic report card, amount required and name of hostel along with two references and a small note detailing their financial condition.
