New Delhi: Fourteen people have been detained across the country by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for their suspected links with the IS terror group, a home ministry official said on Friday.
Of the 14 who were detained in various parts of the country, five have been formally arrested, the ministry official said at a press conference here.
All those arrested are in the age group of 25-30 years.
The other nine suspects are still being investigated, the official added.
“There is no indication so far that they were planning a terror attack in Delhi during the Republic Day function,” the ministry official said.
