Azamgarh: Situation in Khudadapur and adjacent areas of Azamgarh remained tense but under control following communal tension on Saturday,
Section 144 has been imposed in the area and to ensure that no rumours are spread, internet services have been suspended until Tuesday .
Following an altercation on Saturday evening between two communities, the situation in the area was tense and the Provincial Armed Constability (PAC) had also been deployed in Khudadpur area along with Rapid Action Force and paramilitary forces.

The locals claim that the Provincial Armed Constabulary did a biased job and went on searching homes of some alleged perpetrators and even wipe out doors in Khudadpur. According to recent updates, seven people have been detained and over 200 questioned during interrogations.
Ulema Council Media Coordinator Talha Amir Rashadi said that we are keeping an eye on the situation. “People should refrain from spreading rumors in order to maintain the law and order,” Talha appealed.
