Kolkata : Eight people, including a doctor, two quacks and the owner of a nursing home, have been arrested from West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district for allegedly running a child smuggling racket, a senior CID officer said on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off, the Criminal Investigation Department personnel raided Sohan Nursing Home and Polyclinic in Baduria in North 24 Parganas district on Monday night and recovered three infants who were about to be smuggled, the officer said.
