Srinagar : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday took over the probe into the terror attack on the Uri army camp in Jammu and Kashmir that left 18 soldiers dead, official sources said.
Informed sources said a six-member NIA team, led by a Deputy Inspector General (DIG) rank officer, has started its probe after filing a First Information Report (FIR) in the terror attack case.
The NIA team reached Uri from Srinagar.
Eighteen army soldiers were killed in Sunday’s dastardly attack carried out allegedly by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad militants. Four militants were also gunned down.
