Party national secretary E T Mohammed Basheer, while addressing the media persons here on Wednesday at party’s headquarters, said the ruling is a big relief. “The ruling gives much hope. It says that justice could be delivered, even if it is late,” he said.

He also hailed the guidelines by Supreme Court to ensure that the case will be settled within two years. “Since last 25 years, the case has been pending. The ruling that the two cases should be clubbed together and tried at Lucknow court and settled within two years has emerged as a beacon of hope,” he added.

The national secretary also demanded Union Minister Uma Bharti to quit her post taking note of the ruling “Kalyan Singh enjoys constitutional protection for his gubernatorial capacity. The President should initiate action to dismiss him,” he said.

He added that Babri demolition was pre-planned and was carefully implemented with the support of RSS leaders.

“It was not the fallout of an emotional outburst of karsevaks,” he said adding that the SC ruling was a major setback to the communal politics of BJP.

IUML leader P K Kunhalikutty also hailed the ruling saying the court verdict stands testimonial of the fact that secular credentials are still existing in the country.
