Now, Sudarshan TV’s Suresh Chavhanke attempts to instigate Hindus to attack Hajj pilgrims

If there was an award for media houses which toe the line when it comes to the right-wing narrative, Sudarshan TV led by Suresh Chavhanke may bag the first position. This is because Chavhanke does all those things which are truly nationalist in recent times, like instigating Hindu brethren to attack Hajj pilgrims.

Yesterday, union minister of minority affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi flagged off the first flight containing Hajj pilgrims, but Ministry’s act and Hindu silence did not go down well with Chavhanke.

Chavhanke wrote on twitter – Flights have started for #Hajj2017. No worldly power can interrupt those. Hindus should search for their own shortcomings.

What Chavhanke was trying to do that he wanted to produce a counter narrative in response to the recent attack on Amarnath Yatra, in which 6 Hindus lost their lives.

By writing “Duniya ki koi taakat usmen khalal nhin daal sakti”, followed by “Hindu apni kami khud khojen”, Chavhanke was trying to establish that with the shortcomings of Hindus, no worldly power can interrupt Hajj pilgrimage.

In his tweet, Chavhanke has tagged Swami Ramdev, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Bhartiya Janta Party, Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Virat Hindustan Sangathan, Rahul Gandhi and Yogi Adityanath.

Chavhanke’s act to “shake the Hindu pride” did not actually shake the pride, but Hindus came forward to condemn his act. Some even tagged Twitter to suspend his account and some even tagged Uttar Pradesh police to take necessary legal action against him.

However, Chavhanke’s recent past tells that he has always been into this business. A couple of days back, when Sudarshan News asked for applications for various posts, it was made clear to the applicants that Muslim or minority candidates will not be entertained.

Chavhanke, who is also facing rape charges, was arrested on April 12 this year for inciting communal hatred in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. Police had charged him under sections 153 A(1), 295A and 505(1)B of the Indian Penal Code and also under section 16 of the Cable Television Network (Regulation) Act, 1955.

Twitter timeline of Chavhanke is also filled with lots of material which can be easily marked as communally inciting. From posting news articles which mark Muslims as real culprits behind every problem in India to posting images of moving with Venkaiah Naidu and General VK Singh in Kargil Parakram rally, Chavhanke is doing anything in the name of ‘media’ to create a current against the fabric of Indian Constitution.
