“Ramzan for me means change in my work hours.” Says Ghulam Mohammad, with a laugh, who works as a local baker, called Kandur, in downtown area of Srinagar.
“In Ramzan we do not bake in the morning unlike normal days. We usually open our shops after fajr (dawn prayers) but in this holy month we bake and sell in the afternoon till late evening. But these increased hour of work doesn’t stop me from keeping fasts.”
