JUH has alleged that efforts are being made to create inferiority complex and feeling of being second class citizen among minorities, especially the Muslims and Dalits. Mob lynching, killing or other ways are major modes of doing such things. The Eid Milan event was scheduled to be held on June 30 this week.

Maulana Mahmud Madani, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind said, “We are in pain to make this decision. But respecting the sentiments of the just minded and peace loving persons of the country, who are grieved at series of mob lynching, is important.”

Madani believes that the lynching incidents are performed to create mindset of superiority among majority community, and to show that law is paralyzed and it can not protect minorities.

Madani alleged, “The government has been playing negligence in ensuring security and protection to the oppressed ones.”

Maulana Madani also said, “We hope that the government will understand our feelings and make efforts to resolve the issues of the oppressed and weaker sections of the society, so that the public may celebrate the Eid, Holi and Diwali with full rejoice and calmness.”
