Gorakhpur : A couple of days after a video surfaced in which BJP MLA from Gorakhpur(Sadar) Radha Mohan Das Aggrawal was shown shouting at IPS Charu Nigam, Aggrawal commented on the issue in an exclusive talk with TwoCircles.net.
Aggrawal said, “Media is biased against me and BJP. They did not show the full picture just to portray me as a criminal.”
“Aap mujhe bataayen. Maine unhen mara to nahin, na to gaali di. Tab kis baat par itna tamasha (You tell me. I haven’t hurt her nor I abused her, so what’s the fuss about it)”, said Aggrawal in a way that he could’ve hit Charu Nigam that day.
Aggrawal continued, “She(Nigam) hit an 80-year-old woman. She kicked in the abdomen of a pregnant lady and ruthlessly beat an 8-year-old girl.”
The allegation was denied by Police, but MLA Aggrawal further said, “She was an officer while she was beating those women, then she became a ‘woman officer’ after I scolded at her. Can’t you people see this dual nature of her?”
Defennding his actions, Aggrawal said, “Kya Nigam ne kabhi bacccha paida kiya hai? Kya kabhi we garbhwati hui hain? Jawaab den mujhe. Unko kya maloom ki garbhwati aurat ke pet par laat marne se kya hota hai? (Did Nigam gave birth to a child, or has she ever been pregnant? She should answer me. How could she know that what could happen if you kick the abdomen of a pregnant women?)”
MLA Aggrawal accused IPS Charu Nigam of doing drama of getting emotional. “Wo kewal naatak kar rahi hai, ye sab rona-dhona ek dikhawa hai ki dekhiye, hum kitni museebat men hai. (This all is just her drama. The crying or getting emotional is just for show off to depict– see! How much trouble we are into)”, said Aggrawal.
He even accused IPS Nigam of not recognising him. He said, “I’m MLA since last 16 years. What kind of officer she is if she does not recognise me? She would not have argued with me if she knew me. I did not shout at her. I just said that I didn’t want to talk to her.”
On Sunday, some people from Kareemnagar area of Gorakhpur district sat on Dharna against a proposed liquor shop in the area. The police team led by Charu Nigam tried to disperse the protesting mob as they blocked the road and subsequently traffic was stopped.
Radha Mohan Aggrawal reached the spot and questioned the action of Police team citing reason that state government has strictly ordered that liquor shop could not be opened in residential area. However, any such order does not exist yet.
He got involved in a verbal spat with IPS Charu Nigam after which Charu Nigam was seeing crying in a viral video tape.
“Yes, I did this. But I will do it again if someone comes in between me and public. I don’t care about anybody”, said Aggrawal before hanging up.
MLA Aggrawal has threatened to sat on Dharna since Wednesday May 10 in support of residents and to highlight the issue.
