A book called “Dui Hazar Ekush” ( Twenty First Century)for the Refugees worldwide was released on 5th at Kolktata Press Club. Renown Poet & Journalist Mokter Hossain Mondal has authored this book for the Refugees of Mynanmar and Syria. He dedicated this book to refugees across the globe.
Ayesha Noor, three time gold winner in karate championship who hailed from a poor background in one of the slums in Kolkata launched the book.
The life story of the footpath dwellers and the life story of the Refugees of Syria, Somalia & Rohingya people is covered in this book. The poet attempted to engage in the different ways the problems of refugees can be solved. His dream is that of a world where no human being is forced to become a refugee leaving his homestead and fleeing to save his/ her life. He hopes that the problems of the Refugees will be solved successfully by Two thousand and twenty.
“Dui Hazar Ekush” has been published by Disha Prakashani.
Prof. Enamul Hoque, secretary of Bhasa O Chetana Samity who graced the book release opined that Mokter Hossain Mondal is a prolific writer with a rebellious streak and his writings compel the reader to sit up and think seriously about the situation humanity is in in the present times. The current book that talks about the misery of the refugees is an indication that the author is a kind hearted person.
Young Litterateur Md. Nuruddin Shah also present at the occasion congratulated Mokter Hossain Mondal for this work. He mentioned the poet’s previous work, “Praschtto Amar Bondhu” which is revolutionary.
