Varinder Singh Sonu State Vice President PDP Youth slammed the Modi government for arresting the political leaders and also resented the division of the region in 2 union territories.

Sonu Said “They are political personalities and not terrorists. They should be released immediately. The Centre should build confidence among people and not create panic.”    “The arrest of two former CMs of Jammu & Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti, and Omar Abdullah is condemnable and it could have been avoided. The government should have taken J&K leaders into confidence, instead they have been arrested,”.

Varinder Singh Sonu also stated in the press release that reducing the state into UT is again a big fraud and amounts to cheating the people of Jammu and Kashmir, who had given a massive mandate to BJP. The people from Jammu have never demanded UT; what for they have been punished? he asked in the statement.

“If the people from outside come to settle here and do jobs, they would prefer Jammu only and the youth of Jammu will be on roads in the coming years due to unemployment problem.” he stated in the press release.

Sonu also termed this decision as anti-State and anti-Jammu and claimed that BJP has committed the greatest blunder and it will have a serious impact on the people of Jammu and especially the educated and unemployed youth of the region. He also said the religious sentiments of the people were hurt by suspending pilgrimages and people were totally misled. BJP has lost the trust of the people by giving different reasons for suspending yatra and the deployment of troops and created an atmosphere of illusion and mistrust. They will have to pay a heavy price for it.

Other Youth Leaders who condemned the decision are Girish Sharma, Pankaj Gupta, Rajat Gupta, Dimple Kumar, Deepak Gupta, Swarn Singh, Rajat Randawa, Bablu and others.
