Mumbai-based Companions of Peace & Justice has submitted an FIR at Sakinaka Police Station against Suresh Chavhanke, Editor-In-Chief of Sudarshan News for provoking hate sentiments against people.
Suresh Chavhanke, Managing Director and Editor at Sudarshan News has been accused of inciting hatred between religious communities and indulging in acts prejudicial to national integration. The complaint, registered Friday at the Police Station, charges Chavhanke under Sections 153A, 153B, 504, 505 (1), 505 (2), of the Indian Penal Code and Section 67 of IT Act.
The complainants from Companions of Peace & Justice have further mentioned in their report that the accused has also engaged in “inflammatory and criminal statements, targeting the Muslim community” through his Twitter platform. This is in addition to the Editor “publishing and circulating material with the intention of causing enmity, hatred and ill will between religious communities.”
