London : Persistent rain delayed the start of the second day's play in the first India-England Test at Lord's here Friday. As rain continued to fall, the umpires took no decision when play would resume.
England had scored 268 for four wickets on the truncated opening day after captain Michael Vaughan won the toss. Andrew Staruss was the top scorer with a fine 96 on a day when play was interrupted several times due to poor visibility.
