London : Play on the second day of the first India-England cricket Test started here after a prolonged delay due to persistent rains here Friday.
England had scored 268 for four wickets on the truncated opening day after captain Michael Vaughan won the toss. Andrew Staruss was the top scorer with a fine 96 on a day when play was interrupted several times due to poor visibility.
Kevin Pieterson resumed his innings at 34 while Ryan Sidebottom was yet to score.
